Has anyone seen that method of splitting wood before? It seems she brings down the ax with a slight twist and “pop” …the wood splits.
Though I’ve almost always lived in warm climates, I did help split wood a few times while visiting folks further north. It was nowhere NEAR as easy as this woman’s method. I remember the chunks of wood getting stuck, then I’d be picking up the ax with a huge chunk of wood on the end and bringing it down again while trying to get enough swing going to finally split it. Fortunately, I won’t freeze to death in Florida if I can’t split wood – but if I was splitting wood again, I’d really want to learn Ax Girl’s method.
